Roses & Peonies for Foodies Marc & Emma's Wedding at St Helens Church & Eaves Hall

We loved creating wedding flowers for these two beautiful folks, it really was a spectacular wedding day with a plethora of phenomenal August flowers: Roses, Peonies, Snowberries, Hydrangeas, Love in the Mist,  Lily of the Valley and Astrantia all in heavenly late summer shades, Pinks, Mulberries, Lavenders and muted blues.
We were also looking forward to working with a fabulous wedding team,  the great folks at Eaves Hall, the brilliant Kerry Woods Photography, Sonara Parker mua, Naomi from Hall of Hair and seeing a stunning wedding gown by Anita Masserella & gorgeous shoes by Charlotte Mills and there were some lovely Bridesmaids gowns by Kelsey Rose from Amelias bridal too.
Following our first fact finding mission of our initial appointment, we met up again at FD HQ to talk through their detailed mood board, we discussed their ideas and shared our own, we made some suggestions and made an appointment for them to come back to see a set of sample designs
We presented our beautiful Bride to be with a sample Bridal Bouquet, sample Boutonniere, Ceremony and Reception designs
One of our super tall FD Flower Bombs created as a sample
A sample Rose Boutonniere created for Marc
The Bouquet and Boutonniere were designed to compliment each other
We made a sample Hurricane lamp design
A Posy of fresh flowers to sit on the end of each alternate pew end was also created as a sample design
At last the week of the wedding arrived and a collection of glorious fresh flowers were delivered to FD HQ, we love these gorgeous blush pink peonies
These heavenly 'Victorian Classic' garden Roses were the signature bloom of the wedding.
Classic Hydrangeas with Silver Lace & Bombastic Roses
Sweet Avalanche Roses, Fifth Avenue and Bubbles Roses
Memory Lane Roses
On a very wet and rainy morning Jason & I were over at The Bride's family home to make the presentation of Bridal Bouquets and hair flowers

The bouquet included  such a heavenly tapestry of fresh Roses, Senecio, Eucalyptus 'Silver Dollar' Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Astrantia, Love in the Mist, Snowberries , Sweet Peas and Gypsophilia
We'd made the Bridesmaid's smaller versions of the Bride's Bouquet
I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly

The hair flowers for each bridesmaid were all individually wired and taped and then tied up in bunches for each Bridesmaid with shoelace ribbon
Naomi the fabulous hairdresser was putting the fresh flowers into the Bridesmaid's hair

The lovely Sonara was busy making our beautiful Bride's face even more beautiful
The Groom's Mum had asked us to dress her handbag with some fresh flowers
The rain continued followed by lightening and thunder but there were slivers of blue sky somewhere on the horizon

By the time we arrived at St Helen's Church a minor 'Northern Miracle' had occurred in the form of a bright blue sky, I messaged our Bridal party to let them know...

We'd framed the front door with two fragrant and fresh Bay trees, dressed with fresh Ivy and ferns around the base of the Bays.
Inside this magnificent Church the Bells were ringing and the fresh flowers decorated the altar and Pew Ends

Our Pedestals framed the ceremony space perfectly, fresh Larkspur, Stocks, Roses, Hydrangeas, Sedum, Snowberry and fresh fragrant foliages and Herbs

Posies of fresh Roses, Hydrangeas, Alchemilla, and Eustoma dressed each alternate Pew End

Outside in the porch we lined up all of the boutonnieres and corsages ready to pin them on their wearers as they arrived

The Groom's Mum's Handbag was dressed with fresh Larkspur buds, Rolled Mentha Rose Petals, Bubbles Roses, Nigella, individually wired Succulent Petals and Astrantia

The Bride Groom's Boutonniere featured a fresh 'Victorian Classic' Rose with rolled "Memory Lane' Rose Petals, Nigella, Rose Buds and Snowberry with Astrantia floret framed with Senecio Leaves and Eucalyptus leaves.
We'd bound the stem with navy blue ribbon

A corsage of Rose Buds, Lime Green Hypericum, Waxflower and Albiflora
A Sweet Avalanche Rose Boutonniere
A Fifth Avenue Rose Boutonniere

Marc, Emma's super handsome Bride Groom was first to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel
