Autumn Pinks & Greys for Yvonne & Martin's Wedding Day at St Peter's Church Stonyhurst & Mitton Hall

This was one of those gorgeous weddings that Jason & I always really look forward to, the reason is simple, we have history, we know the family and we loved them!!! We were lucky enough to create flowers for Yvonne's sister Iza & Jonny's wedding way back in 2012 link, now this is the thing, these beautiful girls are quite 'exacting' some may say 'particular' or even go as far as to say 'fussy'.
Here's the thing with so called 'fussy' Bride's they seriously value all the things we do to make sure we get their flowers just right for them, which is to say they give us a fighting chance to exceed their expectations, you see they ensure that we fully understand what they want, but they appreciate too that we're dealing with a fresh product that has variances, each flower is unique, the shape and shades are altered by the weather, the time of year, they are more beautiful because of this, embracing the naturalness of flowers is all part of the fun, I promise you!!!

We got together with Yvonne and Martin to discuss their gorgeous and super detailed Mood Board, we discovered all of their plans for a magical wedding day, we'd be heading up to St Peter's Church at Stonyhurst College for the wedding ceremony, then over to Mitton Hall for their wedding reception, Yvonne had chosen a gorgeous Morilee gown from Amelias Bridal, Flossy & Leigh were looking after the Hair & Make Up,  the lovely Paul Swift Photography & the team from Marry Me Films would be capturing all of the magic of the day, the Northern String Quartet & Paul Guard would be entertaining everyone and there was going to be a gorgeous cake by Maria Dobson Cakes it really was going to be a magical day...
We met up again with these two lovely folks to present a set of sample designs, created just for them
We'd made a full set of sample bridal designs, including table designs and Church suggestions
We made Martin a sample Boutonniere
We made a sample Bridal Bouquet for Yvonne too
Tall fresh FD Flower Bomb and a sample Church Pedestal too

Our FD Enchanted Tree created as a sample for Martin & Yvonne to see
Before we knew it the big day arrived and Jason & I were at Mitton Hall in one of the suites presenting the Bridal Bouquets to our fabulous Bride and Bridesmaids
Yvonne was delighted with her wedding bouquet (phew!!)

In this gorgeous blush pink and pale grey wedding bouquet I'd included a beautiful combination of palest blush Peonies, Ivory Sweet Peas, Earl Grey, Faith, Fifth Avenue and Akito Roses with Senecio, Albiflora and Eucalyptus foliages

The Boutonniere for the Bride's Dad Jan
The team from Flossy & Leigh were making beautiful faces even lovelier
Jason & I headed off to St Peter's at Stonyhurst College to place the fresh flowers and to meet Martin to pin on his Boutonniere
Inside this truly magnificent Church we framed the ceremony space with two majestic pedestals
We'd arranged fresh Antirhinnums, Roses, Peonies, Lissianthus, Hydrangeas, Roses, Stocks, Larkspur, Ivy, Eucalyptus and Senecio in shades of palest blush pinks, ivory and pearl greys on top of our super tall pedestals

The Bride Groom's rather special Ivory Rose Boutonniere complete with rolled Rose Petals, silver grey foliages and florets with Albiflora
Yvonne's super handsome Bride Groom Martin
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere was bound with silver bullion to provide a polished finish

What a joy it was to see the lovely Jonny again

Love these two...

Ewa & Iza's bouquets were created as smaller versions of the Bride Yvonne's bouquet, we'd included grey Albiflora to pick up the grey shade of their gowns

Here come's our gorgeous Bride the breathtakingly beautiful Yvonne

Northern String Quartet were entertaing the congregation whilst the Register was being signed

Massive Congratulations to Martin & Yvonne from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The fresh and fragrant Rose Petals were ready for the Confetti throwing

The celebrations and all of the fresh flowers moved on to the wonderful surroundings of Mitton Hall
The dining tables at Mitton Hall were dressed with a combination of table designs
Our fabulous FD Flower Bombs, FD Enchanted Trees & our FD Hurricane Lamp Designs provided a mixture of high and low table centrepieces

The Top Table was dressed with a swag of fresh flowers stretching along the length of the table
The tables were named after confectionery, we'd hung the table names from the tall table designs

Our work here was done, many thanks to Yvonne and Martin and both of their fabulous families for having us on board for such a special wedding day xxx
